My Six on Saturday are all from the stunning walled gardens at Goodnestone Park, Kent.
One – there were columbines (Aquilegia) or all colours, but I particularly liked this one.
Two – Californian poppies (Eschscholzia californica) turn up in a range of colours, most of them very bright, but this washed-out buff really caught my eye.
Three – I take it this white-flowered cornflower is Centaurea montana ‘Alba’.
Four – I photographed Pelargonium ‘Copthorne’ in the kitchen garden greenhouse.
Five – Weigelas seem to have come into their own this week – I guess this is W. florida f. alba.
Six – and finally a fabulous mix of clematis and rose tumbling over the red-brick garden walls. Just beautiful.
The full blog on my visit to Goodnestone Park Gardens will appear here on The Garden Visitor on Monday.
